How My Kids Taught Me to Love

I need to get up earlier.

I need to help others get food and drink — before myself.

I need to slow down.

I need to notice nature.

I need to work less.

I need to play more.

I need to nag less.

I need to hug more.

I need to criticize less.

I need to empathize more.

I need to choose my words wisely.

I need to bend down and try to understand the world according to others more.

I need to listen better.

I need to worry less.

I need to laugh more.

I need to put down my phone.

I don’t need a paycheck to know my what I’m doing is worth something.

I need to be still more.

I need to pray before I go to bed.

I need to know I’m not alone.

I don’t need things.

I need LOVE.

Thanks, kids, for teaching Mom how to love.
