They said they knew where to look. And Mom didn’t.

Mom didn’t think we’d ever find any queen ants. But they did.

People passed by, probably thought it strange. Mom took photos, actually thought the memory was quite grand.

They didn’t really find any Queen Ants. But they said they did. Whatever the captured bug is, it’s ours now.

They were looking for a summer adventure. Mom was looking for something else.

Now they want to start an ant farm. Mom just wants to get back in the house.
